My software development background doesn't stay in a drawer when I turn on the cameras. It means dynamic graphics fed by real-time APIs, automated post-production workflows, automatic recognition systems for athlete photo printing, broadcast control via custom software. Problems other filmmakers don't even know can be solved.
It's not a matter of difficulty: it's that you rarely speak the language of the set and the language of the terminal at the same time. I try to speak both.
